About me
If I had to give myself a title, I would call myself an Astro-yoga-brarian. I have a BA in English, a Minor in Folklore, a Masters in Library Science and my yoga teacher certification from the East-West School of Natural Healing. I am a certified astrologer with the Organization of Professional Astrologers - OPA! (I was a finalist for the 2022 Most Promising Astrologer Grant! ) I also have a specialty certificate in Relationship Astrology, my favorite type of astrology research!
My Story
My obsession with astrology began just after my Progressed Sun moved from Aquarius to Pisces. Many people turn to astrology for answers when a major change happens, or in this case, a relationship ends. So at 33, I found myself dating and wondering who might be the most compatible with my energy. What I learned is that the most important relationship you have is the one you have with yourself!
Wanting to discover more, I became a member of the Astrological Association of St. Louis. Those in-person transfers of wisdom and the opportunity to become fluent in the language of astrology was priceless! I began learning as much about astrology as I could: attending lectures, reading books, watching videos, listening to podcasts, and most importantly, reading charts for all the people in my life. Once I started identifying the astrological connections in the world around me, I was hooked!
The Beginning of Stars Align
In 2015, my oldest son Jake and I started an astrological event series in our hometown of St. Louis, MO called “Stars Align: An Astrological Dance Party.” Each month we celebrated the astrological season by throwing a public birthday party for everyone who was born in that season. Starting in March, we threw an Aries party. The DJ (an Aries of course) would play songs by Aries musicians and I would do mini Solar Return readings for people (no matter what their sign). As the zodiac signs changed, people looked forward to celebrating their sign with the Stars Align community. It was an exciting time and a great way to highlight how astrology brings people together!
A New Chapter: Club Stars Align
Fast forward to early 2021. The pandemic is in full swing and in-person dance parties are suspended until further notice. Through the wonders of technology, we resurrected our IRL dance party. We dubbed the virtual counterpart “Clubs Stars Align”, live-streamed the show on Twitch, and introduced a fabulous new crew behind-the-scenes. The digital format allowed us to expand the original concept and do some astro-info-tainment at the beginning of each stream. The show format featured the Astro-weather, an astrological “Deep Dive” into each planet in that sign, a celebrity chart reading and lots of mother/son banter. This was followed by DJ sets of Sun sign musicians for that season. Through this virtual format, Club Stars Align reached a whole new community of astrology lovers. We did all 12 signs and those shows are archived on the Stars Align Astrology YouTube channel.
Today
Finally, after 20 years of loving all things astrological, I decided to share my love of astrology with clients full-time. I can’t wait to meet you online or IRL someday soon!
